After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, Lanny and Anne Pagett came to Salem in November 1988. They brought with them a desire to see people set free from the bondage of sin and from the performance-oriented way people relate to God. They want to impart a vision for the "pure simplicity" of having a relationship with our Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

Following what amounted to three years of foundation laying prayer meetings characterized by deep repentance and intimate worship, the green light was given to start public meetings on Sunday January 5th 1992. Through all the peaks and valleys experienced in planting a church, God has built a growing fellowship of believers committed to reaching others with the good news of Christ's forgiveness and healing.
